North Korea conducts another strategic cruise missile test

Pyongyang: North Korea has carried out another test of strategic cruise missiles, according to state media reports, in a move that comes as the United States and South Korea begin their annual joint military exercises this week.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un supervised the missile test via video link on Tuesday.

During the inspection, he emphasized the need to maintain and further strengthen a powerful and reliable nuclear deterrent.

State media also released photographs showing Kim Jong Un’s daughter, Kim Ju Ae, present while observing the test.

The development follows a similar test conducted last week, when North Korea launched a strategic cruise missile from a naval destroyer, underscoring Pyongyang’s continued efforts to enhance its military capabilities.
