Actor Ahsan Khan urges men to empower their wives

KARACHI: Pakistani actor Ahsan Khan has urged men to support their wives’ personal and professional growth, saying women should not spend their entire lives confined to household responsibilities.

Speaking in a recent interview, Khan said that if a husband is progressing in life, he should ensure his wife also has opportunities to achieve her own goals and build an independent future.

“It should not be that a wife is left only to raise children, care for the in-laws and remain in the kitchen all her life. If a woman is unable to move forward, the husband also bears responsibility,” he said.

Khan encouraged men to help their wives become financially and personally independent by supporting their education and career ambitions.

He cited his own family as an example, saying he encouraged his wife to pursue baking courses, supported her interests and helped build her confidence by teaching her to drive independently.
