KARACHI: Pakistani actor Afzal Khan, popularly known as Jan Rambo, recently humorously expressed a wish about a second marriage while appearing on a television program.
Speaking in a lighthearted manner, the actor shared memories from his wedding day and the emotions he experienced during his rukhsati.
Afzal Khan jokingly said that if he had the chance to spread a rumor about himself, it would be that he had gotten married for the second time.
Afzal Khan rose to fame in Pakistan’s entertainment industry through his unique acting style. He became a household name overnight after appearing in the famous Pakistan Television (PTV) drama “Guest House,” where his role won the hearts of viewers.
Recently, he appeared as a guest on a Ramadan special show, where he discussed several interesting aspects of his personal life. Recalling an emotional moment from his wedding, the actor revealed that he actually broke into tears during his rukhsati.
According to Afzal Khan, the emotions overwhelmed him because he could hardly believe how far he had come in life. He said many people later joked that he looked like Amitabh Bachchan at that moment, but in reality, he became emotional remembering the struggles he had faced.
He explained that before his marriage, he worked day and night to build a house, and the memories of that hard work came rushing back during the ceremony.
When asked during the show what kind of rumor he would like to spread about himself, Afzal Khan replied humorously that he would spread the news that he had married again.
However, the actor clarified that although Islam permits a second marriage, he currently has no such plans. Laughing, he added that spreading such a rumor would simply be a way to see people’s reactions, joking that the cameras should be turned off so no one finds out the truth.
