Zendaya sparks marriage rumours with Tom Holland after showing wedding band at event
Zendaya appears to have subtly confirmed her reported marriage to Tom Holland after displaying what looked like a wedding band during a public appearance at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards on Thursday, March 12.
The moment occurred during the ceremony when host Marsai Martin playfully addressed Zendaya, referring to her as her “cousin.” Martin joked about the actress’ famously private personal life before asking her to “give me a sign.”

In response, Zendaya smiled shyly and raised her hand toward the camera, seemingly revealing a wedding band. The gesture quickly drew cheers and applause from the audience at the Los Angeles event.
According to reports from attendees, Zendaya was also overheard receiving congratulations and well wishes from fellow guests during the ceremony, further fueling speculation that the couple may have secretly tied the knot.
For the event, the Euphoria star wore a white, flower-adorned minidress designed by Eugene Alexander. The dress has a notable fashion history—it was previously worn by Sarah Jessica Parker in the 2008 film Sex and the City and traces back even further to a longer version worn by Whitney Houston in the late 1980s.
Speculation about the marriage intensified earlier in the week when Zendaya was photographed at a Louis Vuitton fashion show on March 10 wearing a thin gold band on her left hand while her engagement ring was noticeably missing. The new ring stood out among the other jewelry she typically wears.
Rumours about the couple’s wedding had already been circulating since early March. At the 2026 Actor Awards on March 1, Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach told reporters that the wedding had already taken place.
“The wedding has already happened,” he said on the red carpet, jokingly adding that people had missed it. When asked to confirm the claim, he replied that it was “very true.”
Zendaya and Tom Holland reportedly became engaged on Zendaya’s birthday in 2024, when Holland proposed with a ring that now appears to have been replaced by the simple band she recently displayed.
