COAS Munir calls on young people to combat social media propaganda

RAWALPINDI:  Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Friday emphasized the need for young people to play a positive and meaningful role in countering social media propaganda, according to Pakistan’s military media wing.

CDF Munir met with a delegation of students from Harvard Business School, during which they discussed regional and global developments and Pakistan’s security environment, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The field marshal highlighted efforts to promote peace, stability and prosperity in the region and stressed the importance of education, skills development, entrepreneurship and fact-based analysis among young people.

He said the younger generation should adopt fact-based thinking and play a constructive role in countering misinformation and propaganda on social media.

The Harvard Business School students described their experience of visiting Pakistan as excellent, according to ISPR.
