RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army Rocket Force Command successfully carried out a training launch of the locally developed Fateh-II missile system.

The Inter-Services Public Relations has announced that,  Fateh-II missile is equipped with advanced avionics and modern navigation technology. The test aimed to validate various technical parameters and assess the performance of its enhanced accuracy systems.

The launch was witnessed by senior officials from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Rocket Force Command, and the Pakistan Army, along with scientists and engineers from strategic organizations. Officials praised the successful test of the indigenously developed Fateh series missile.

ISPR stated that the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, the Chief of Defence Forces, and the Services Chiefs appreciated the technical expertise, dedication, and commitment of all personnel involved in the successful trial.

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has stated that violence will not be tolerated in Pakistan and religious sentiments must not be exploited to incite unrest.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Munir made these remarks during a meeting with Shia scholars in Rawalpindi, where discussions focused on national security and inter-provincial harmony.

He emphasized that religious scholars play a vital role in promoting unity, tolerance, and national cohesion. He urged them to actively counter misinformation and sectarian narratives that could destabilize society.

The army chief reiterated that Pakistan is open to dialogue, but stressed that terrorist elements must first be handed over. He also called on the Afghan Taliban to ensure that their territory is not used for terrorist activities against Pakistan.

“Pakistan will not tolerate the use of Afghan soil for attacks against it,” he said, adding that terrorists and their hideouts would be targeted wherever they are found.

The scholars present at the meeting strongly condemned violence and expressed full support for Pakistan’s security institutions in maintaining peace and stability.

Field Marshal Munir also reaffirmed the military’s resolve to eliminate terrorism completely, referencing ongoing efforts under Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq.

ISPR confirms significant Taliban caualties in Operation Ghazab‑Lil‑Haqq

ISLAMABAD: Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Choudhry provided a detailed briefing on Pakistan’s Operation Ghazab‑Lil‑Haqq, emphasizing that there is no distinction between the Afghan Taliban regime and terrorist groups, and that the operation is aimed at protecting civilians.

Lt Gen Choudhry stated that on the nights of 21 and 22 February, Pakistani forces targeted hideouts of the militant group Fitna‑al‑Khawarij near the border. He said the Afghan Taliban regime used this as a pretext to launch attacks.

According to ISPR, the Taliban carried out firing at 53 locations across 15 sectors along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, all of which were repelled by Pakistani forces with strong countermeasures.

Key outcomes of the operation, as shared by Lt Gen Choudhry, include: 274 Taliban personnel killed and over 400 injured, 74 Taliban posts completely destroyed, 18 enemy checkposts captured by Pakistan, 115 enemy tanks and armored vehicles destroyed and 12 Pakistani soldiers martyred and 27 wounded.

He further reported that 22 hideouts of Fitna‑al‑Hindustan and Fitna‑al‑Khawarij were targeted, with precision strikes on Taliban objectives in Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar. The operation strictly targeted military assets, destroying terrorist shelters and weapons depots, while militants fled leaving casualties behind.

The ISPR DG highlighted that the Pakistan Air Force struck the Infantry Brigade Headquarters in Kabul, with nighttime explosions visible globally, and also destroyed a brigade headquarters in Kandahar.

Lt Gen Choudhry reiterated: “The Afghan Taliban regime and terrorists are one and the same. The world recognizes that Operation Ghazab‑Lil‑Haqq is conducted for the protection of our citizens.”

He concluded by stating that the operation continues under the direction of the Prime Minister and will proceed until all objectives are achieved.

Security forces kill 18 Indian-proxy groups in two operations in Zhob

RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed 18 Indian-sponsored militants during two separate operations in Zhob district of Balochistan, according to the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement, ISPR said an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was carried out on February 24 in Zhob, resulting in the killing of eight militants described as Indian-backed “Khawarij.”

The following day, on February 25, security forces conducted a comprehensive clearance operation in the same district. According to ISPR, the operation was launched to eliminate hidden elements of what it termed the Indian proxy group “Fitna al Khawarij.”

During the operation, troops traced the movement of militants along multiple routes and effectively targeted their hideouts. After an intense exchange of fire, 10 more Indian-sponsored militants were killed.

ISPR said weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials were recovered from the slain militants, who were allegedly involved in multiple terrorist activities in the area.

The military’s media wing added that clearance operations are continuing to eliminate any remaining Indian-backed terrorists in the region. It reiterated that counterterrorism efforts are being pursued under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision and affirmed that security forces remain determined to eradicate externally sponsored terrorism from the country.

Security forces kill 34 militants in operations across KP and Balochistan

RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed 34 militants in multiple operations conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The military’s media wing said operations against what it described as Indian-backed proxy groups were intensified in recent days based on intelligence reports.

According to ISPR, on February 24, four separate engagements were carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in the killing of 26 militants linked to the banned outfit referred to as “Fitna al-Khawarij.”

An infiltration attempt near Hasan Khel in North Waziristan was foiled, where one militant was killed. The deceased was identified as an Afghan national.

In Lakki Marwat, three militants were killed during an intelligence-based operation following an exchange of fire.

In the Narmi Khel area of Bannu, 10 militants were killed in two separate encounters.

In Mir Ali, North Waziristan, security forces eliminated 12 militants.

ISPR further stated that eight militants affiliated with what it termed “Fitna al-Hindustan” were killed during a clash in the Sambaza area of Zhob, Balochistan.

The military reiterated its commitment to continuing operations against militant groups to ensure peace and stability in the country.

RAWALPINDI: A Lieutenant Colonel and a soldier of the Pakistan Army were martyred in a suicide attack targeting a security forces convoy in Bannu, the military’s media wing said.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces had received intelligence about a vehicle-borne suicide bomber and were conducting an operation in the area based on the tip-off.

During the operation, troops traced militants identified as “Fitna al-Khawarij.” A suicide bomber traveling in a vehicle was intercepted in time by the leading contingent.

In desperation, the attackers rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into one of the security vehicles, resulting in the martyrdom of Lieutenant Colonel Shehzada Gulfraz and Sepoy Karamat Shah.

ISPR stated that five militants were killed during the ensuing exchange, and the timely action of security forces prevented a major tragedy in Bannu city, foiling the terrorists’ plan to target innocent civilians and personnel.

The military further noted that despite the sanctity of the holy month, militants continue cross-border terrorist activities from Afghanistan into Pakistan. ISPR said such actions demonstrate that the attackers have no connection with Islamic teachings.

It added that the Afghan Taliban government has failed to prevent its soil from being used for terrorist activities against Pakistan.

Reaffirming its resolve, ISPR said Pakistan will continue indiscriminate operations against militants under the counterterrorism drive “Azm-e-Istehkam,” emphasizing that the sacrifices of brave soldiers further strengthen the nation’s unwavering commitment to peace and stability.

RAWALPINDI: Security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa successfully neutralized 24 terrorists during two separate operations on February 4 and 5, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The militants, affiliated with Indian-backed proxy group Fitna al-Khawarij, were targeted in coordinated actions in the Orakzai and Khyber districts.

In Orakzai, security forces conducted an operation based on intelligence reports, striking militant hideouts. During intense gunfights, 14 terrorists were killed.

In a separate operation in Khyber district, 10 more terrorists were killed following an exchange of fire with security personnel.

The ISPR confirmed that search operations continue against other Indian-supported militants in the region. The clearance operations aim to eliminate all remaining terrorist elements, ensuring long-term stability.

The operations are part of the Pakistan Army’s anti-terrorism campaign “Vision Azm-e-Istiqamat”, reflecting a decisive crackdown on Indian-backed terrorism across the province.

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Tuesday emphasized that a strong and people-oriented police force is crucial for maintaining internal security.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir visited the National Police Academy in Islamabad, where he met with officers of the Police Service of Pakistan and engaged in discussions on law enforcement and internal security.

The Federal Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Interior were also present during the visit.

Field Marshal Asim Munir was warmly received by the Commandant of the National Police Academy and was presented with a Guard of Honour by a disciplined police contingent. He paid tribute to police martyrs by laying flowers and reciting Fatiha at the Police Martyrs’ Memorial.

Highlighting the sacrifices of police personnel in the fight against terrorism, crime, and security challenges, Field Marshal Munir addressed IGPs, Additional IGPs, and senior officers, emphasizing the importance of inter-agency cooperation and modern policing techniques.

He stressed that public trust forms the foundation of law enforcement agencies. “A strong and people-friendly police is indispensable for internal security. Enforcement of law and order is the sacred trust of the police,” he said.

Field Marshal Munir also assured that the armed forces will always stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Police in maintaining law, order, and public safety.

RAWALPINDI: Security forces eliminated 13 members of the Indian-backed militant group Fitna Al Khwarij in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), in reported presence of khwarij, an intelligence based operation was conducted by the security forces in Bannu District on 13-14 January 2026.

During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location and after an intense fire exchange, eight khwarij were sent to hell.

Another intelligence based operation was conducted by Security forces in Kurram District. In ensuing fire exchange, five khwarij were effectively neutralised.

Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored kharji found in the area as relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Kalat District of Balochistan, on reported presence of terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al Hindustan.

During the conduct of operation, own forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and after an intense fire exchange, four Indian sponsored terrorists were sent to hell.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.
