RAWALPINDI:  Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Asim Munir, has affirmed that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to face any threat.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir visited the Bahawalpur Garrison, where he received detailed briefings on operational, training, and administrative matters.

During the visit, he observed military exercises at Khairpur Tamiwali, including demonstrations of modern drones, electronic warfare, and surveillance technology.

On the occasion, the Roohi E-Skills Learning Hub and APS Abbasiya Campus were inaugurated, with announcements made to promote digital education and a renewed commitment to quality education.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also visited the EME Regional Workshop, where he was briefed on the maintenance of advanced military platforms.

Furthermore, he paid tribute at the Martyrs’ Memorial, honoring the sacrifices of fallen soldiers.

The COAS reiterated, “Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to counter any threat,” emphasizing the military’s readiness and dedication to national security.

RAWALPINDI: Lance Naik Muhammad Mahfooz’s martyrdom anniversary is being observed today, honoring his selfless bravery and dedication, as the armed forces and nation pay their respects.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces; Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff; and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of Air Staff, on behalf of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, pay profound homage to the immortal legacy of Lance Naik Muhammad Mehfooz Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, on his martyrdom anniversary.

Lance Naik Muhammad Mehfooz Shaheed stands as a towering symbol of valor, sacrifice, and unyielding devotion to the motherland.

During the 1971 war at the Wagah sector, he displayed extraordinary courage in the face of overwhelming enemy resistance. Undeterred by severe injuries and relentless fire, he pressed forward with fearless resolve, ultimately laying down his life in the highest tradition of military honor. His gallantry in battle remains one of the most luminous chapters in the history of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

His supreme sacrifice embodies the indomitable spirit, professional excellence, and selflessness that define Pakistan’s Armed Forces. Lance Naik Muhammad Mehfooz Shaheed’s heroism transcends time, serving as an enduring source of inspiration for generations of soldiers and citizens alike, reinforcing the sacred bond between the armed forces and the nation they are sworn to defend.

On this solemn occasion, the Armed Forces of Pakistan reaffirm their unwavering resolve to uphold the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security of the nation.

Senate approves amendments to armed forces and Supreme Court acts

ISLAMABAD: The Senate has passed key amendment bills for the Pakistan Army, Air Force, Navy, and the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Act.

The session, presided over by Chairman Yusuf Raza Gilani, saw Federal Ministers Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif, and Tariq Fazal Chaudhry presenting the bills.

The Upper House passed the Pakistan Army Act, Pakistan Air Force Act, Pakistan Navy Act, and the Practice and Procedure (Amendment) Bill with a majority vote.

During the proceedings, members of PTI and JUI opposed the bills. Senators Humayun Mehmood and Kamran Murtaza demanded that the bills be referred to a committee, but the Chairman sought a vote from the house, and the bills were subsequently approved by a clear majority.

Speaking on the occasion, Ishaq Dar said the approval of the 27th Constitutional Amendment necessitated amendments in the Army, Navy, and Air Force Acts, which were now duly incorporated.
