ISLAMABAD: A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking the transfer of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan to a hospital for medical treatment, according to court documents.
The petition was submitted through lawyer Uzair Bhandari, requesting that the Islamabad High Court’s March 12, 2026 decision be declared null and void.
The plea urges the court to order an immediate medical examination of the PTI founder and proposes that doctors Khurram Mirza, Asim Yusuf, Faisal Sultan and Samina Niazi be included in the medical board.
It further requests that the PTI founder be shifted to Shifa International Hospital for treatment and allowed regular access to family members, lawyers and personal physicians during the treatment process.
The petition also seeks timely updates on his health condition and treatment, including full medical reports such as eye examinations and blood test results.
It argues that the family and legal team should be kept fully informed and involved at every stage of medical care, and demands access to diagnostic reports from the past four months.
The Supreme Court has not yet issued a response to the petition.
