The veteran actress explained that what appears to be fuller lips is actually the result of makeup techniques, adding that she uses lip liner to outline her upper lip to create a balanced look.

Bushra Ansari deleted Mahira Khan, Fahad Mustafa contacts

LAHORE:  Veteran Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has revealed that she once deleted the phone numbers of prominent actors Mahira Khan and Fahad Mustafa from her mobile after not receiving timely responses to her messages.

In a recent interview, Ansari said she had reached out to both actors on different occasions, but due to their busy schedules, she did not receive immediate replies.

She said she initially assumed they might not wish to stay in contact and subsequently removed their numbers to avoid repeated messages or misunderstanding.

The actress said the situation later took an unexpected turn when she received a message reading “Aapa, I love you, I miss you.” However, because the number was not saved, she misidentified the ender due to incomplete caller information.

She said she mistakenly believed the message was from another actress, while it was actually from Mahira Khan, who was later surprised to learn her number had been deleted.

On another occasion, Fahad Mustafa also reached out, but similar confusion occurred due to the number not being saved, leading to a brief misunderstanding, she added.

Ansari clarified that there was no personal dispute involved and said she holds both actors in high regard, praising Mahira Khan as respectful and humble, and describing both stars as among the busiest names in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.

Bushra Ansari criticizes viral mimicry video, calls it ‘inappropriate’

Bushra Ansari

Veteran Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has expressed displeasure over a viral video in which her mimicry was performed, saying the act crossed acceptable boundaries.

The video, circulating widely on social media, prompted a question during a recent TV interview where the host asked why she objected, especially when mimicry has long been part of the entertainment industry.

Responding to this, Bushra Ansari said that while she had performed impersonations in the past, her work maintained respect and dignity.

She cited her performances mimicking legendary singers Tahira Syed, Noor Jehan, Musarrat Nazir, and Salma Agha, emphasizing that those renditions contained no offensive or personal remarks.

She explained that her performances focused on artistic expression rather than targeting anyone’s personality or private life.

Ansari added that the songs she performed were written with respect, and even her own creative contributions upheld those values.

The actress remarked that the recent mimicry lacked quality and crossed into poor taste. However, she recalled appreciating a previous impersonation by Veena Malik, noting that it was done respectfully.

Ansari also shared that she had once been encouraged to mimic Naheed Akhtar but declined, as she felt she could not do justice to the singer’s unique style.

She concluded by stressing that mimicry should remain respectful and within ethical boundaries rather than becoming offensive or demeaning.

Expressing disappointment, she said that for the past 30 to 40 years promises have been made to improve Karachi, yet nothing has changed in reality.

She clarified that her criticism was not directed at any political party, but highlighted that responsible authorities make claims of progress every year while the city continues to suffer.

The actress urged citizens to demand accountability, calling on Karachi’s residents to file a collective petition.

She questioned whether those in charge do not love their own city, and asked how long it will take before Karachi is finally set right.
