LAHORE The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for a three-match T20 series against Australia ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

The series will take place at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, with the first T20 scheduled for January 29, the second on January 31, and the third on February 1. The Australian T20 squad is set to arrive in Lahore on Wednesday, January 28.

The PCB described the series as a key preparation opportunity for both teams before the T20 World Cup, which begins on February 7 in India, where Pakistan will play all its matches in Sri Lanka.

This home series is expected to provide crucial match practice and help both teams fine-tune strategies ahead of the global tournament.

Australian Cricket delegation arrives in Lahore ahead of T20 series

LAHORE: A recce team from Cricket Australia has arrived in Lahore to assess arrangements for the upcoming tour of Pakistan.

According to sources, the team is scheduled to inspect the venues, including Gaddafi Stadium, the National Cricket Academy (NCA), and the LCCA Ground.

During the visit, officials from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and security agencies will brief the delegation on preparations and security measures.

Australia’s T20 squad is expected to tour Pakistan late next month, with a three-match T20I series planned between the two sides. Sources indicate that all three fixtures are likely to be hosted in Lahore.

Pakistan to face Sri Lanka in tri-nation T20 series final today

RAWALPINDI: The final of the Tri-Nation T20 Series will be played on Saturday between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan secured their spot in the final after winning three out of four matches in the tournament, while Sri Lanka qualified by winning two games. The Sri Lankan side defeated Zimbabwe earlier and overcame Pakistan in their last group match.

Captains Salman Ali Agha and Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka posed with the trophy at a local hotel ahead of the clash.

The decisive encounter between the two teams will take place today at Rawalpindi Stadium, with the match scheduled to start at 6 PM.

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revised the schedule for the upcoming Tri-Nation T20 Series following changes to the remaining ODI matches against Sri Lanka.

According to the PCB, all matches of the three-nation tournament, featuring Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe, will now be played in Rawalpindi from 18 to 29 November. Previously, matches were scheduled between 17 and 29 November in Rawalpindi and Lahore.

The board stated that the schedule adjustment was made in consultation with the respective boards and based on operational considerations.

Earlier, the PCB had also rescheduled the remaining two ODIs against Sri Lanka, which will now be played on 14 and 16 November, instead of the original dates of 13 and 15 November, as confirmed by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi via social media.

Zimbabwe Cricket team arrives in Islamabad for Tri-Nation T20 series

ISLAMABAD: The Zimbabwe cricket team has arrived in Islamabad to participate in the upcoming Tri-Nation T20 Series. The team will rest today ahead of the start of the tournament.

The series, featuring Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe, is scheduled to begin on 18 November in Rawalpindi.

Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revised the tournament schedule, with all matches now set to be played in Rawalpindi from 18 to 29 November. Previously, matches were planned in both Rawalpindi and Lahore from 17 to 29 November.
