Trump approval slips amid inflation and Iran conflict, Poll reveals
Washington: Rising petrol prices and the impact of the Iran conflict have contributed to growing public dissatisfaction with U.S. President Donald Trump, according to a new Associated Press survey.
The survey indicates that the share of Americans expressing distrust in Trump’s economic policies has risen sharply by 9 percent to 70 percent. It also shows that his overall approval rating has declined from 36 percent to 33 percent.
According to the findings, 67 percent of respondents said they are dissatisfied with the president’s performance.
Political analysts cited in the report suggest that the decline in popularity is linked to concerns over rising domestic economic pressures and a perceived lack of focus on internal issues amid international tensions.
