Aishwarya Rai’s loving birthday message for husband debunks divorce rumors

Mumbai: Amid circulating divorce rumors, Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dispelled speculation by posting a loving birthday message for her husband Abhishek Bachchan on his 50th birthday, which quickly went viral on social media.

Rai shared a childhood photo of Abhishek, accompanying it with affectionate emojis and a message reading: “Happy 50th birthday to my dear baby papa! Wishing you lots of love, peace, happiness, heartfelt serenity, and the best of health. Shine with love always.”

Fans expressed delight at the message, though some noticed the post featured only part of Abhishek’s face, with a few suggesting that it may have been posted by mistake.

Regardless, followers praised the heartfelt wishes and sent the couple congratulatory messages, calling them a “perfect pair” and highlighting the genuine love between them.

The post was widely described as touching, with many fans also wishing Abhishek a happy 50th birthday.

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan tied the knot in 2007 and have shared the screen in several films since. The couple also has a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, completing their family.

Abhishek Bachchan breaks silence on false divorce rumours

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has finally responded firmly to the fabricated divorce rumours surrounding him and his wife, Aishwarya Rai.

According to Indian media, Abhishek said in an interview that being a celebrity means people will always speculate. “Whatever nonsense is written about us is false, baseless, wrong, and filled with malice,” he stated.

He added that the media behaved the same way before their marriage — first predicting when they would marry, and now speculating about divorce. “It’s all rubbish,” he said.

Abhishek emphasised that both he and Aishwarya know each other’s truth and share a happy, peaceful family. “That’s what matters — the rest is meaningless,” he added.

When asked whether such rumours cause mental stress, he replied, “If even a little of it were true, maybe it would affect me. But since it’s all lies, it doesn’t matter.”

Regarding their daughter Aaradhya, Abhishek said she is not affected as she does not use a phone, and Aishwarya has taught her not to believe everything on the internet.

For months, social media speculation suggested trouble between the couple, despite them consistently appearing happy together with family.

Abhishek and Aishwarya married in 2007 and welcomed their daughter Aaradhya in 2011.

Abhishek Bachchan will soon be seen in the upcoming film King, alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji and Suhana Khan.

Indian media reports reveal that veteran Bollywood actress Hema Malini had once hoped for her only son, Abhishek Bachchan, to become the husband of fellow actress Isha Deol.

During a recent interview on director Karan Johar’s show, Johar asked Isha if her mother had ever mentioned wanting her to marry Abhishek. Isha responded, “My mother is incredibly sweet.

She mentioned Abhishek in front of me because he was one of the most eligible bachelors at the time. She wanted me to marry a good person, and she thought Abhishek would be perfect for me. But I didn’t want to marry him. To me, Abhishek felt like an elder brother, so I politely declined my mother’s wish.”

When asked if her mother had later suggested Vivek Oberoi for marriage, Isha firmly denied it, saying, “Mothers can think a lot of things, but definitely not Vivek. He’s not my type.”

For context, Isha Deol married Bharat Takhtani in 2012. The couple welcomed their first daughter in 2017 and their second in 2019. In 2024, after 12 years of marriage, Isha Deol and Bharat Takhtani announced their separation.
