KARACHI: Actress Sanam Saeed has responded to online criticism about her appearance and personal style, saying she remains confident and content with how she looks.

During a recent appearance on the talk show Star and Style Season 5 hosted by Asim Yar, Saeed spoke candidly about her career and experiences with social media trolling.

When asked whether she had ever faced negative comments online, Saeed said she had been fortunate to encounter very little trolling throughout her career. She noted that, on rare occasions, she has been referred to with terms such as “koji” or “khogi,” which she described as derogatory remarks about appearance.

Clarifying the meaning, the host explained that “khogi” can mean “detective,” while “koji” is often used as a slang term for someone not fitting conventional beauty standards.

Responding to the comments, Saeed said she does not take such remarks as trolling, adding that she views her appearance as a creation of God and is comfortable with who she is.

She also noted that beauty standards in Pakistan often favor fair skin and specific facial features, while other parts of the world appreciate a wider range of complexions. Saeed said she believes she has classic Pakistani features and is often compared to other local actors when meeting people.
