Taking to Instagram, Khushhal dismissed the speculation, stating that the news has no truth to it. In a brief message, he remarked, “That’s enough clout chasing, now let’s get back to work.”

The rumors began circulating on social media after an online platform claimed that two A-list showbiz stars had secretly tied the knot.

Speaking on a podcast, Kapoor said the incident occurred during her school years when she came across her photos on such platforms during an IT class.

She explained that the content was entirely fabricated and resembled deepfake material with no connection to reality. The experience, she added, exposed her early to the darker side of fame.

Kapoor questioned whether being a public figure means having to tolerate such unethical misuse of one’s image. She also raised concerns over the growing spread of AI-generated fake content on social media.

The actress said that doctored images and videos of her continue to circulate online, often being presented as real. She warned that even credible news platforms sometimes end up sharing such misleading content.

Highlighting the professional risks, Kapoor noted that such fabricated material could create challenges in her career, as filmmakers might use it to exert pressure or make unfair judgments.

KARACHI: Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah has been ruled out of the Pakistan Super League for an indefinite period due to injury.

Franchise Rawalpindi Pindiz confirmed the development, stating that Naseem sustained a side injury during a match against Karachi Kings.

According to team management, the fast bowler will remain unavailable until further notice. The medical staff is closely monitoring his recovery, with hopes that he may return in the later stages of the tournament after completing rehabilitation and obtaining fitness clearance.

The franchise also expressed full support for Naseem Shah, assuring that he will receive complete backing throughout his recovery period.

In a statement, Fakhar said that while he had initially considered retiring from T20 cricket after the World Cup, he has now decided to continue playing and has no intention of retiring at this stage.

“I want to finish my T20 career on a high note,” he added.

The 35-year-old has been a key performer for Pakistan in T20 internationals, scoring 2,494 runs in 120 matches at an impressive strike rate of 132.51, including 14 half-centuries.

LAHORE: Multan Sultans secured a convincing seven-wicket victory over Rawalpindi Pindiz in the 14th match of the Pakistan Super League.

Chasing a target of 183 runs, Multan Sultans comfortably reached the total in 16.2 overs, losing just three wickets.

Sahibzada Farhan played a match-winning knock of 68 runs off 38 balls, while Josh Philippe contributed 56 runs. Shan Masood scored 27, and captain Ashton Turner remained unbeaten on 26.

For Rawalpindi, Mohammad Amir picked up two wickets.

Earlier, Rawalpindi Pindi Boys posted 182 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted overs. Sam Billings top-scored with 56 off 34 balls, while Kamran Ghulam added 35 runs.

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a bearish trend during the past week, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index declining by 1,309 points.

The index fell from 151,707 points at the start of the week to close at 150,398 points, reflecting overall negative sentiment in the market. During the week, the market lost one key psychological level.

Trading activity remained mixed, with the market recording losses on three days and gains on two days.

Despite the downward trend, the KSE-100 Index touched a weekly high of 157,347 points, while the lowest level recorded was 144,656 points.

Market capitalization decreased by Rs160 billion over the five trading sessions, bringing the total market cap down to Rs16,725 billion.

Meanwhile, a total of 2.45 billion shares were traded during the week, with a cumulative value of Rs1,140 billion, indicating continued investor participation despite volatility.

Pakistan calls media reports on UAE repayment misleading

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office has dismissed recent remarks regarding United Arab Emirates financial reserves as baseless and misleading. According to the ministry, the funds held in the State Bank of Pakistan were part of bilateral trade agreements, and Pakistan is returning the deposits in accordance with the agreed terms upon maturity.

The m Foreign Office emphasized that the repayment is a routine financial procedure and misrepresenting it is misleading. Pakistan and the UAE share long-standing and fraternal relations, with strategic cooperation continuing across trade, investment, and defense sectors.

Repayment Details:

Pakistan will return USD 2 billion in UAE deposits on April 17, 2026, with an interest rate of 6 percent.

Additionally, a Eurobond of USD 1.3 billion will mature on April 8, 2026, and be repaid.

Overall, Pakistan will pay a total of USD 3.5 billion, including principal and interest.

A further USD 1 billion in UAE deposits is scheduled for repayment in July 2026.

The FO reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its strategic and economic relations with the UAE. Earlier reports indicated that the UAE had initially approved a two-month extension for the USD 2 billion deposits, with maturity previously set for February 2026, but Pakistan opted for repayment along with accrued interest.

Washington: United States Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is facing serious allegations of blocking or delaying the promotions of more than a dozen women and Black senior military officers.

According to reports by a US broadcaster citing sources, concerns have been raised that the defense chief targeted certain officers based on race, gender, or perceived links to the Biden administration, affecting their advancement to the ranks of general or admiral.

A US official claimed that former Chief of Staff General Randy had sought a meeting with Hegseth before his removal to discuss the issue of halted promotions for women and Black officers, but the request was declined.

Another official alleged that no branch of the US military remained unaffected by Hegseth’s intervention.

However, the US Department of Defense has strongly rejected the claims, labeling the report as “fake news” based on anonymous sources and asserting that the allegations lack credibility.
