On-Air Exchange Sparks Reaction

During the show, host Tabish Hashmi asked Atiqa Odho to give advice to Fahad Mustafa, showing him a photo of the actor. Odho suggested that Fahad should now work with actresses closer to his own age.

Fahad Mustafa responded on his own show with a tongue-in-cheek remark, addressing fellow actor Humayun Saeed: “Perhaps Atiqa Apa wants to be my heroine herself. I would tell her—go for 2 or 4 more surgeries, then we can be your hero.”

Atiqa Odho Appeals for Calm

Following the incident, Atiqa Odho took to Instagram to apologize for any offense her words may have caused. She described Fahad Mustafa as “a talented and hardworking professional” and urged fans and media to not escalate the situation further.

60-year-old man’s marriage to young woman sparks social media debate

60-year-old man

RAWALPINDI: A video of a 60-year-old man marrying a young woman has gone viral in Pakistan over the past three days, triggering a mix of criticism and discussion online.

Social media users expressed outrage over the videos, arguing that such actions at his age are inappropriate for an elder.

Initially, reactions were mostly negative. Some criticized the elderly man, while others suggested that the young bride had married him for financial reasons.

Elderly Groom Calls It a ‘Love Marriage’

Speaking to media, the 60-year-old groom described his marriage as both arranged and a love marriage. “First, we fell in love, then we got married, which follows the Sunnah. It is both an arranged and love marriage. My wife fell in love first, then the arranged marriage took place,” he explained.

He added, “The heart should stay young—age is just a number. She was divorced, and I followed Allah’s command and the Prophet’s ﷺ Sunnah. I committed no wrongdoing, so why are people criticizing?”

Groom Defends His Marriage Against Criticism

The man further commented, “Negative remarks usually come from those who have had girlfriends or improper relationships and avoid marriage, deceiving women instead. I did the right thing by marrying her.”

His wife also defended the union, saying, “When you truly love someone from the heart, age doesn’t matter. When your heart chooses someone, there should be no delay in marriage.”

Mixed Social Media Reactions

Following the couple’s story, some social media users praised the groom for promoting marriage instead of illicit relationships. “He chose marriage over sin; this should be encouraged,” one user said.

However, subsequent viral videos featuring the couple drew renewed criticism. Users criticized the public display, with comments such as: “He has a long beard, yet behaves like this publicly—where is the dignity? Making such absurd videos at this age is unbecoming.” Another added, “This nation will never reform. Such public displays by an elder show a complete disregard for shame and modesty.”

Indian Air Force grounds entire Tejas fleet after series of incidents

Indian Air Force

New Delhi: The Indian Air Force has temporarily grounded its entire fleet of Tejas light combat aircraft following a series of incidents, including a recent mishap on February 7.

According to Indian media reports, all 35 operational HAL Tejas fighter jets have been withdrawn from flight operations pending a comprehensive technical inspection. The final cause of the latest accident has yet to be determined.

The inspections include analysis of landing gear metal components, examination of the electromagnetic braking system, and a review of onboard software systems.

In the February 7 incident, a single-seat Tejas aircraft was damaged during landing. The pilot sustained injuries but survived. Reports suggest the aircraft’s structure suffered significant damage and may be declared beyond repair.

This marks the third major incident involving the Tejas since its induction into the Indian Air Force in 2016. The first occurred in March 2024 near Jaisalmer during a return from a firepower demonstration, where the pilot ejected safely. The second incident took place in November 2025 during an aerial display at the Dubai Airshow, resulting in the pilot’s death.

Meanwhile, state-owned manufacturer Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) described the February 7 event as a minor technical malfunction rather than a crash. The company stated that a detailed analysis is underway in accordance with standard operating procedures and that it is working closely with the Air Force to resolve the issue promptly.

HAL also maintained that the Tejas ranks among fighter jets with a strong safety record compared to its global counterparts.
